Josh Peacock
Network EngineerJosh is a Network Engineer at Optima Systems. He was born in Malaysia, moved to UK in 2010 and has lived in West Sussex ever since. He studied IT, Law and Business during A-Levels and went on to University but dropped out later as he did not like the delivery method.
Josh did not have any experience in IT support but love working with computers, so he looked around and applied for apprenticeships within IT Support. A good opportunity came up when Optima through a provider advertise an Apprentice Network Engineer role as it was close to where he lived which he applied for and the interview was successful which he then got offered the role with Optima.
In July 2018 after all the paperwork, Josh joined Optima and started working, doing minor jobs such as checking backups as well as supporting the other engineers when needed to. After gaining some experience and knowledge from the other engineers, he now acts as the first line of contact between Optima and our IT support clients.
